Frontier Airlines says once supplies run out it will stop serving free, warm chocolate chip cookies, reports the Denver Post. The airline says that's likely to happen no later than early May. In their place, bags of Pepperidge Farms Goldfish Crackers or Barnum's Animal Crackers will be offered, the company said. The snacks will be complimentary, however, only for the carrier's Ascent, Summit, Classic and Classic Plus customers, and unaccompanied minors. Those flying economy will have to pay $1 for the crackers, the statement said. The airlines said that the cookies, although popular, don't factor into a customer's purchasing decision and weren't worth the expense, the company said in its statement to employees. Most airlines have eliminated complimentary snacks for economy-class passengers, although some like Southwest Airlines and JetBlue both offer free in-flight treats.
