Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Wednesday that the U.S. will begin to lessen travel rules for the first time since the 1990's, when the nation was unofficially closed to tourism after the imprisonment of democracy activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. After Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy parliamentary victory on Sunday, the LA Times reported that Asia's Intrepid Travel tour company has doubled the number of tours it leads to Myanmar.
