Later this summer, you will able to pack snow globes in your carry-on luggage when you go to the airport.
The Transportation Security Administration says it will give small snow globes a reprieve from the list of excluded items you can carry on a plane this summer, according to the L.A.Times. The trinkets now fall into the same no-no category as box cutters and knives -- unless they are stored in checked luggage.
"Later this summer, TSA expects to begin allowing small snow globes in carry-on luggage when packed in a passenger's plastic 3-1-1 bag," the agency said in a statement.
Currently, snow globes are prohibited from being brought through security as a carry-on item. Instead, any flier wishing to fly with a snow globe must put it in his or her checked luggage – or buy one from a post-security airport retailer.
The only stipulation is that the globe has to to be the same bag as your other carry . You don't get a 3-1-1 bag and a snow-globe bag," he added.
