MONTPELIER, Vt. – Tourists can explore Vermont this fall with a few ghostly adventures. The Vermont Department of Tourism has launched Haunted Highways, a vacation package focused on ghost stories and lodging. The department says tourist can travel from the "Bennington Triangle" in the southwestern part of the state where a number of hikers mysteriously disappeared between 1920 and 1950 to Lake Memphremagog on the northern border where the ghost of General "Mad" Anthony Wayne has been spotted walking across the top of the lake. Officials say there are many mysterious places in between. __ Online: Haunted Highways: http://bit.ly/SvzlKc | |
